Description

Imaged on nights of 12/18-2020, 12/19-2020, 12/20-2020, 12/21-2020

Sh2-170 is an emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. Its main emissions are in Ha wavelength with a dim OIII area in the center part. The nebula is associated with a small star cluster in its center.

It is commonly called the Little Rosette Nebula because of its similarity to the famous Rosette Nebula. However, it is not very small, measuring 20 arc minutes in diameter.
